Time Tested Beauty Tips :)

When all else fails, maybe it is now the time to listen to the Lord. :)

Ilang linggo na din akong nagpupunta sa Acoustic Night ng Light Young Professionals ng church nila Jonathan na Light of the World (Novaliches). Lahat ng tao dun, bagong kilala ko lang, pero every week, feeling ko ang lapit nila sa akin, at ang dami ko parating natututunan, thank you po sa bagong pamilya ko (or pagtanggap sa akin sa pamilya ninyo)! Lalo na sa inyo, Jots and Ate Liez! :*

Ang sarap ng may mga bagong tao sa buhay, lalo na mga bagong realizations. :) Super ganda ng church activity na ito kasi bukod sa nakakarelax dahil sa jamming, ang sakto pa ng shared messages.

Let me share some of those, which I learned through this effort.

ON CHANGE

The first message that they were able to share was the steps to change. How are we able to change?

First, we must start with ourselves. I believe, what they meant by that is that you must be able to assess how you are doing in your life. Are you happy with it? Are you content with it? Are you doing something worthy of your time? To see some changes, in order for you to be ‘okay’ with your life, it is just fine to look around you and adjust things that you think needed some alterations; but then, most importantly, you also need to think of things that should be modified in your own life. As they say, be the change that you want to see. Exemplify those changes so that your surroundings would, eventually, go and adjust with you. Contemplate well, and do well in making those changes. More importantly, pray and ask for guidance.

Second, we must start small. Change must be done minimally, at first. Some people want it big right away, but that doesn’t work that way. You are not the only one affected by the changes you are making in your life, others are concerned, too. Do not despise small beginnings; God knows how to multiply everything that you have. Set priorities.

Third, start with the end in view. You must know the consequence of every change that you are about to carry on. Always have a vision, and let that vision be the fuel that would drive you in accomplishing something very important in your life.

Finally, start early. When is the time to start changing? Now. Generally, people say that procrastination is the mother of all aborted destinies.

The only thing that is constant in this world is change. So, don’t be afraid to change but always do it to develop the better you. ;)

ON GIVING UP

There are reasons why we must not give up. First, giving up something means that you are also giving up on your dreams and destinies. The act of giving up shows a sense of uncertainty or doubt, a negative belief that there would be no way that whatever you are pursuing would be attained. Contradict it with planning; set your dreams. Doubts will only lead you in a direction without a definite end.

Second, you are losing the chance to succeed. When you have a goal in life, there are two fates of chasing that goal, it is either you would be able to accomplish it, or lose it. Always take the risk of trying to achieve your goals, though you know that you might end up losing, put in mind that there is ALSO a probability that you might be able to get it. Let us learn from marathons: Run your race to get a finisher’s medal!

Third, you are losing the chance to meet the better you. Every effort that you put through to achieve a goal provides sets of realizations. Use these to improve thy self.

Lastly, you are not to give up since it would be impossible for you to move on. Do not live a life of what if’s and maybe’s or a life of regrets, just because you were not able to do something you needed to do, and realize that in a time in which it would already be too late to make any actions to reverse a consequence that you could not accept.

When you feel that you are losing hope, remember Thomas Edison:

“I have not failed; I just found 10,000 ways why it won’t work.”

ON HOPE

Life is full of hope! :)

Did you ever feel that you have planned for something yet it never happened? Or were you able to feel that you think that you are waiting for too long for something to happen? Were you able to ask, just for once, “Lord, para sa akin ba talaga ito?”

Maybe, you are just losing patience. Always think that there is more to life. Trust, fully, in the Lord. When we find ourselves in tough times, we must not give up; God answers our prayers in perfect timing as the Lord says in Jeremiah 29:1, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.” God wants us to live an abundant life. He has His own instructions. While waiting, we must do our part, as well. Seek God with our hearts, wait patiently, and strive harder. ;)

ON GOING UP THE LADDER TO SUCCESS

You must identify your position right now. You can’t get anywhere if you do not know where you are. Also, do not live a life of denial. Though there would be a problem, in the pursuit of success, in the form of competition, having the sense of longing for achievement will get you through― you must always have the burning desire. Desiring is a decision you have to make. Have the right character and a precise vision. Ask yourself these questions: Do I like what I am doing? When I do any work, do I enjoy it, or do I just let it pass? Am I growing up or learning something? To put it simply, find something that you like or just start liking whatever you are already doing. ;)

God talks to us in unimaginable ways, and I am so thankful that He is speaking to me through this endeavor. I hope to learn more about life and how to deal with the issues that come with it. I love you, Light of the World Church! :*
